Anthony has a substantial litigation practice in different areas of intellectual property in Hong Kong and China. He has also overseen and supervised many trademark and patent litigations in the United States, Europe and Australia. Furthermore, Anthony manages numerous local clients’ worldwide trademark portfolios, as well as overseeing many international clients’ trademark portfolios in Greater China.

Since October 2020, Anthony was appointed to the Board of Directors of the government-owned Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute aka ASTRI. He was further appointed its Chair of the IP Working Group.

Anthony speaks extensively on various IP related topics on the invitation of various Government departments, statutory bodies and business organisations, e.g. HKIPD, HK Trade Development Council, Create HK, HK Art Centre, Chinese Manufacturers’ Association, etc. He was invited to speak at the 2021 Business of IP Asia Forum organised by the HK Government in December 2021.

Anthony is a WTR Global Leader 2021. He is also the only practitioner in Hong Kong who has been ranked in the Gold Tier of both (i) Enforcement and Litigation and (ii) for Prosecution and Strategy and listed in the single-tiered “Transactions” in the 2021 WTR 1000. WTR remarks that “Anthony successfully navigates a complicated legal landscape and achieves the best possible outcomes for his clients, always keeping business objectives in mind.”

In 2021, for the eighth year in a row, Anthony has been named as IP Stars for Hong Kong by Managing Intellectual Property.

Anthony was also appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Copyright Tribunal of the Hong Kong Government, and has successfully completed the maximum 6-year term on 30 November 2017.

Anthony is a council member of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators, a Notary Public and a PRC-Appointed Attesting Officer. He is also the Honorary Legal Adviser of the Hong Kong Brand Development Council (BDC) under the auspices of the Chinese Manufacturers Association of Hong Kong.
